Trav's Easter Egg

This Easter we went camping not to far from Salina. During egg coloring last year we announced that we were pregnant with little Easton by writing on the eggs with white crayon and it was a suprise when the kids pulled out the egg. This year Travis got into egg coloring and came out with the most unique egg! He is so creative! He also took the kids on a treasure hunt, which looked more like a trash hunt to the rest of us, but they loved it! They are always excited to see Uncle Travis he comes up with some wacky things to keep the kids entertained.

Simple Things Make Us Happy :)

Grandma could have blown bubbles for hours! We all had a chance to feel young again as we saw the bubbles get bigger and bigger and fly away into the sky. The simple things really do make us happy.

Ladies Man

Last night we had a fun BBQ with some friends. It was a great time. Easton has already started to work his charm. Charolette is such a cuttie and has the prettiest little girl features. We've already started to plan the wedding ;)

Grandpa Roberts' Birthday Bash!

Flying kites, sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, eating lots of food, don't forget dessert, and opening presents made not only for a busy day, but a sleepy day for parents and kids too. Happy Birthday Dad We Love You!

The Best Part of Waking Up...

I think that the best part of waking up and being a mom is described in my video. I love every morning hearing Easton cooing or talking to himself just before I go in and get him out of bed. My favorite is when he just smiles and acts shy right before I pick him up. This isn't the best video and he sure does talk a lot more than shown, but I thought I would let everyone in on my world in the early hours of morning :)

St. Patricks Day Or Easter?

So which holiday do you decorate for? Easter or St. Patricks Day? We couldn't choose so our windows have shamrocks and the tree has Easter Eggs. Easton was feeling a little left out in the decorating so we made him an Easter mobile. It was a little funny he couldn't figure out how the eggs just dangled in the air like they did. He is laughing now and is such a smiler. Kids definately bring a lot of joy into your life!

Hair Do's & Don'ts

Here is the new do! Short, but I think it will work for summer. Travis didn't mind it either, he just wanted to know how much it cost :)

Kristina told me that Travis tried some crazy things with his hair when he was younger like nair... and I thought of some things I use to do. I cut my hair short and spikey it was a little boyish. The guys always asked me when I was going to grow it out, kind of sad, but hey I got to sleep in about 30 more minutes before I had to get ready for school. The things we do to our hair...

We Love Spring!

The little guy just got a tooth!!! He is growing up way to fast and it is sad. He is so active and loves his little walker. Baby Einsteins are now a saver when it comes to me taking a shower, preparing dinner, or doing the dishes.

We have been slacking on our blog lately. I think we have been straying away from the computer because of this lovely weather we are having. I promise i will take some pictures of this weekend. We are heading to Salina for my Dad's B-day. All the grandkids should be there so we will get some fun spring pictures.

The Hair Situation....

So this is our hair situation... Travis being the frugal man that he is (don't get me wrong this is a good thing) but he likes to try and see if we can do things for less money, those things include my hair :)... So this is a picture of us on Saturday night pulling my hair through a cap. I would show you the outcome but is was rather frightful. But the best part of this experience is that Travis has now consented to me going to the salon to get my hair done. Yipee!
I am thinking of an A-line which I have always liked but never tried. I will show you the results after my appointment tonight.
