Halloween

As you can see the Angry Bird Theme is still going strong at our house. These costumes were a lot of fun to make and really cheap to. I started with Easton's and couldn't stop until we all had one. You have to ignore Travis' hat, I knew he had a big head :) but he wouldn't try it on until Halloween, I fixed it before trick or treating though.

Easton was pretty excited to be Bomb Bird. We went to a trunk or treat earlier in the week and he had fun chasing the other kids around. Next year he has informed me that he would like to be a train conductor...hmmm.

Ashlyn got the hang of Halloween pretty quick, she follows in her Dad's footsteps when it comes to being a candy conisore.

Attack of the birds!!! We played this game pretty much every time the kids put on their costumes. Travis was quiet the good sport.

The Loot!

UEA Weekend

Bet ya can't guess where we went... Yep, the Zoo!

It was Ashlyn's first time to the Zoo and riding this giraffe was her favorite part, she kept trying to go back every time we passed it.

You can't go to the Zoo and not drink out of the lion's mouth!

Fishing Gooseberry!

These two are T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!! We are really in for it when they become teenagers :)

Fun fishing trip, well to be honest it was a little stressful trying to keep the kids, especially Ashlyn out of the water and mud, oh well!

Over all, the fishing was good, the food was good, the fire was warm, and the Annie Bangs stories were scary!

Happy Birthday Easton!

Love! Love! Love! This "big" guy! Travis and I agree that this little guy is one of a kind! He is a great big brother and we are sure Ashlyn would agree! Happy Birthday Easton!

Easton has loved everything Angry Birds, so when it came to having a birthday party for him he of course asked for an Angry Birds party. The best is when he told me he wanted it to be a suprise! How do you through a suprise party for a four year old? It ended up working out. We told him he was going to have a party he just didn't know when. So he was pretty suprised when he came home to a house full of friends.

It seems that every time Easton picks a party theme there is never anything at the store that will go along with it, so we have to be a little creative.  Luckily my friend helped me with the pinata's because I have never made one before and they ended up being super easy and fun!

I love to bake and this was definately a fun experiement!

Back to School!

This year we were so excited for preschool school! Easton went to his back to school night and he was chomping at the bit to go. So when I was running late the first day of preschool I got a little nervous for him when he had to walk up the steps with no one around. But the teacher's newsletter said to let them be brave and go up themselves. So Easton walked in the house and I waited for about 3 minutes just to be sure. Then Ashlyn and I went into town to do some shopping. About thirty minutes later I get a call from his teacher and the first thing she says is, "Easton's okay so I don't want you to be alarmed." So I am thinking the kid has broke his arm or someone elses. But then she proceeds to tell me that preschool is not for another week. My stomach dropped! He was sitting on the steps of the teachers house, when her neighbor noticed him and decided to go and see what he was doing. He told her that there was no one at his school to play with. The crazy thing is that his teacher was not home either, but she hurried home and when she got there she thought this little boy will never want to come back. When she asked him if he was okay he said, "Yeah, my mom just got confused and dropped me off on the wrong day!" What a kid! I love him as he would say, "More than you even know!"

The real first day of preschool!

Happy 1st Birthday Ashlyn!

Having a girl has definitely changed our world! She is loving, she is into shoes, she loves anything that has silk on it, she follows her brother around constantly wanting to do what he is doing, she doesn't sleep at night, and we love her!

Her first doll and there is no need to explain, because she knows what to do!

 Yum, Yum, Cake!

She also loves spaghetti,

And knows when she is in trouble!

Raspberry Season

Easton use to spit these out as soon as they were put in his mouth, but now I can't keep the little guy away from them. And he tries to keep his sister away from them, because she loves them just as much as he does.

I love this photo Travis took of Ashlyn. She has got the best lips ever!

Our annual last day at the Raspberry Shack photo! It is funny to see how things change.  Last year I was nine months pregnant with Ashlyn and now she is a year old.
Time flies!

Rain during raspberry month means no profit that day, so when you wake up and you hear thunder you immediately rush out to the deck to see what your situation is. Luckily this morning I was able to see the sun coming up as the storm was passing over the lake.
What a beautiful start to a day!

This kids loved going to Aunt Nancy and Uncle Todd's house, because that meant feeding the animals, watching all the cartoons that we don't get at home, and ice cream from the
Schwan Man out of Nancy's freezer!

Summer Fireworks!!!

If there is one thing about Summer that Travis loves it is fireworks with Easton. These two are my little pyro's.

Summer Camping Trips!

This year Travis surprised us all when he came home and told us he bought a camp trailer. We were excited and I was a little mad seeing that he didn't say anything to me before hand but when he told me the deal he had gotten I was definately okay with it. It helped us make some fun memories this summer and also gave us a lot of sleepless nights with Ashlyn :)

Boys will be boys I guess!

Rub a Dub Dub! Oh what fun they had in the tub. Pretty dang small, but it fit them well.

We had a great day at Tony's Grove. The kids loved the water!

Easton has developed into quiet the fisherman, maybe next year his Dad will actually put a hook on the line :) Right now he has a plastic fish that he has been learning to cast with and he can cast better than me. He ended up casting and loosing his plastic fish, until a group of college girls that he had befriended decided to jump in and find it for him.

While we were out camping we had Ashlyn's 1st Birthday Party. For how small she is she sure knows how to put down the cake.

It is fun having a little girl and buying dolls. It is definately a change from trucks and guns.

Rachel's Wedding

This picture is so Easton and Ellie. They are usually glued at the hip when they have a chance to be together. They are only a month apart and it has been fun to see the two of them grow up together.

While we were at Rachel's reception we couldn't find these two. Immediately Travis and I started out on a hunt. I was worried that they were out on the street in front and come to find out they were. Scary! A Lady was walking them back down the street to me. She said they were trying to cross the road. Double Scary!!!

Ashlyn is fun to watch when her Dad comes home from work. Here little face just lights up and she goes running to him immediately wanting him to pick her up.
